Wishes for Our Warriors
Hope this reaches you doing well and enjoying your Fall. Hope you are enjoying these cooler temperatures! We, at Life of Pretty, prefer the warmer weather, but know there are so many out there who need our Warm Wishes, so here we go again.
What do the holidays mean to you? Yes, it’s that time of year where many of us and enjoying time with family and friends, great food, holiday decorations, shopping for loved ones, all the endearing and stressful preparations for the holidays. Well, for 1000’s of men women and children, it might mean holidays in the hospital, a country far away from those they love, or somewhere, on the cold streets with or without their families.
So, as many of you know, at LifeofPretty.com, we have created Cards for Our Vets, to bring our veterans some much needed sunshine and show our appreciation, mainly to those veterans at Coatesville VA Medical Center. With much anticipation, Cards for Our Vets is asking you to help with our collection of hand-made cards, pictures and notes for those dedicated men and women past and present, who keep us safe.
For another year, we were hoping to continue that awesome altruistic spirit you have all provided in previous years. We will also be collecting items for those in need in Chester and Montgomery Counties. Gloves, hats, socks, twin sheets, toilet paper, paper towels. The shelters relayed that there is a great need for things like dish soap, laundry detergent, hand soap, and blankets. I am sure countless people will be truly grateful. So, thank you from me and the shelters in advance!
Please take time to think about the countless men, women and children who are trying to figure out where to get warm clothes, food, and shelter for the cold weather to come, as well as the devoted veterans and military personnel. There will be collection boxes in various locations.
This time we will be visiting our veterans and others in need right before Christmas. Please help us show some love and thanks to so many, that they are never forgotten, and help them stay warm this winter. Collection day will be December 15th. Cards for Our Vets: Collecting Warm Wishes 2022
Hi Everyone!
Hope all of you are enjoying the cooler temperatures! We, at Life of Pretty prefer the warm months, but know there are so many out there who need our Warm Wishes, so here we are once again! Yes, it’s that time of year where many of us are enjoying the time with family and friends, holiday decorations and shopping for loved ones, colder temperatures while we are getting ready for the holidays.
What do the holidays mean for you? Well, for thousands of men and women out there it means life in a hospital, a country far away or somewhere, on the cold streets with or without their families.
So, as many of you know, we, at Life of Pretty have formed Cards for Our Vets, to bring some sunshine and appreciation to some of our area veterans, mainly those at Coatesville VA Medical Center.
With much anticipation, Cards for Our Vets asks all of you to help with our collection of hand-made messages, pictures and cards for these dedicated men and women who have given so much to our country.
This year we thought about stepping up our collection a little bit. We were hoping we could maybe collect some gloves, hats, socks, and blankets for our homeless as well. Even items that you no longer use but are in good shape, please donate them. I am sure someone will be truly grateful! If there is something specific you think you would like to add to our collection for them, please feel free.
This time we will be visiting our veterans and homeless right before Christmas, and the card theme for this collection will be Warm Winter Wishes. Please help us show our service men and women how much we appreciate them and assure them that they are never forgotten. Not to mention help them stay warm this winter.

SHARE WARMTH THIS HOLIDAY SEASON WITH
THOSE LESS FORTUNATE IN OUR COMMUNITY
CARDS FOR OUR VETS (Lifeofpretty.com/cardsforvets) was started in 2009 to bring a little sunshine and thanks to our veterans to show them they are not forgotten, but appreciated. We connected with area schools to create cards for our veterans residing in Coatesville VA Medical Center.
Thousands of beautifully artistic and loving cards later, we have decided that we wanted to step up our altruism and start WISHES FOR OUR WARRIORS. Expanding past our card collections, we are asking for you to help us give to others in need. The homeless population has increased and we are hoping this holiday season you will help us provide some essential items people need to make it through the colder months.
From now until December 22, 2021, Wishes for our Warriors (LifeofPretty.comwishesforourwarriors) will be collecting gloves, hats, blankets, scarves and personal care products (toothbrushes, razors, feminine care, toothpaste-whatever you think will help our less fortunate). Toothpaste seems to be needed greatly.
Even items that you no longer use but are in good shape, please donate them. I am sure someone will be truly grateful! If there is something specific you think you would like to add to our collection for them, please feel free.
