First and foremost, I wanted to send good wishes to everyone, hope you all had memorable holidays and looking forward to a new year full of happiness, good health, and good fate in 2023. Thank you all so very much for the fabulous and generous donations you provided during this holiday collection.
Wishes for Our Warriors is so appreciative of your ongoing support, and your thoughtfulness will be so treasured by countless people during this upcoming year. Your gifts that you so graciously provided our collection will assist so many individuals and families, especially in the upcoming cold months.
An extra special shoutout and THANK YOU to two of our big supporters this year including The Home Depot for providing us with a $150 gift card which allowed us to supply our less fortunate population with 3 bottles of 116 detergent pods, various pumps of hand soaps, twin sheet sets, numerous bottles of dish soap, 2 (12) packs of toilet paper and paper towels. Another amazing contributor that requested to remain anonymous provided a $500 gift card which funded 8 men’s coats, 4 (6) packs men’s undergarments, 4 women’s coats, 8 children’s/baby coats, 6 sweaters/sweatshirts, gloves, along with detergent, 3 16pk cases of dove bar soap, bottles of dish soap and body wash, and cases of paper towels and toilet paper. All of these clothes and essential products we were able to purchase because of two “angel businesses” and all of your donations will give relief to so many people this new year so thank you!
There are so many ways to say thank you, but none seem to express the value and warmth I feel in my heart to every one of you who showed such altruism. Between our Cards for Vets collection and all those amazing, artistic cards we received that were delivered on Christmas Eve Day to our awesome veterans at the Coatesville VA Medical Center and the gifts so many donated that will provide countless people with not only the “objects” we collected, but hopefully the heartwarming feelings of relief and connection, knowing there are people out there who are truly selfless and care so much.
Among those people we need to send a huge amount of gratitude and holiday love to are The Henderson Center, the selfless Dr. Jon Garzillo and his staff/clients for their contributions, the residents of Upper Merion Township for your aid both at the Township Building, as well as the box that was housed in the UM Community Center. Then there are the amazing staff and students at Upper Merion Middle School, under the flawless direction of Mr. Adam Slavin for their caring donations and so artistic cards, along with extra thanks to UM Township Supervisors Tina Garzillo and Greg Waks, as well as all the people I haven’t mentioned specifically by name but appreciate all you’ve done to help make this collection so remarkable for those less fortunate. I sincerely thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for helping us make this possible. Finally, a tremendous thank you to Immaculata University Sisters and Staff who created beautiful cards and other donations for our veterans and others in need of our support. I want to send wholehearted gratitude to every one of you because without your support we wouldn’t have been able to make such a difference for so many others. I am more grateful for your kindness and contributions than you could ever imagine.
Warm wishes to all of you for a beautiful holiday season and may the New Year bring true happiness, good health, and success in whatever makes you whole and content.
